Corinth is an incorporated city located in Denton County, Texas, within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The city was named after the ancient Greek city of Corinth and was originally settled in the mid-1800s. The Dallas and Wichita Railway named the city in 1880 when it laid tracks through the area. Corinth gained a Home Rule Charter on May 6, 1999.
